Some 50 Tax Deloitte Penang employees took a day off from their busy work schedule to take part in a major gotong-royong session at Rumah Kebajikan Seri Cahaya in Batu Maung.
Its director Au Yong Pui Nee said it was a day when they focused their energy on serving the community instead of working.
The clean-up activity is just one of the many programmes conducted under Deloitte’s ‘Impact Day’, a corporate social initiative carried out by Deloitte
Besides cleaning up the home, Deloitte volunteers also repainted the premises and carried out some gardening work in the compound.
Home supervisor V. Girithren thanked Deloitte Malaysia for giving them RM4,000 in contribution.
